We are getting very close to the finish line for Empires of the Silk Road!
We just locked all orders from BackerKit and we are charging the cards for shipping fees, add-ons and pre-orders.
Bear in mind that we still haven't locked the shipping addresses, so you will have time until very final day to change your addresses if you need to do so.

Progress Update: Almost There + Art Drop

Hello all,
Just wanted to drop a quick progress update and some more art teasers. The good news is, most of our work is done and print stage is fast approaching!
The first drafts of both books are finished, sent to the editors, and we are doing internal playtests to refine the experience and we are adding more side content. The internal design team is also close to the end product. Our art team is focused on adding as much art as possible while the writing and game design is being finalized.
All in all, the PDFs will be ready much sooner than we anticipated, and we will get to the final print stage immediately afterwards.
Now, without further ado, let us introduce you to a new cast of characters that you will meet in your journey through the Silk Road:
A Harbinger wielding many faces as a weapon, an angel of death who only grants his true name in the dying breath of his victims... Whispers herald the coming of a bloodbath.
A friendly face in a city doomed thousandfold, the legendary healer Ibn-i Sina uses his knowledge of medicine and arcane to save who he can. Just make sure you reach him when you are in need, ideally in one piece.
A matron in charge of the Madrasah in the wartorn city of Samarkand, Munavvar expertly dances around the invading forces of the Khaganate and the remnants of the city's oldest inhabitants.
As we get closer and closer to the release date, you will hear more from the world of Empires of the Silk Road! We seriously can't wait to give you all the full storyline of Herald of Rain - and get you the meet the full cast of the adventure, including a villain of great infamy - a forsaken exile who pulls the strings from the shadows.

Regarding the Earthquake

Hey all,
In the early hours of today, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck Southern Turkey at 4:17 AM. Following this, 3 more severe earthquakes struck with, quite frankly devastating, magnitudes of 6.4, 6.5. and 7.6. Aftershocks are still going on and at least ten cities in the region are known to be affected.
Some of you have reached out to us to offer support and condolences, and ask if we are okay.
Our team is okay as we were far from the earthquake zone, but the aftershocks that travelled westward scared us a bit. We are contacting our friends and family in the affected zones as fast as we can, and so far we haven't heard any bad news - which is a relief.
We will most likely be out of office for the next few days. We have personally donated, and we will volunteer for the relief effort. Our thoughts, prayers, and all the effort and resources that we can give are with those who are affected by this tragedy.
Our schedule for Empires of the Silk Road remainsunaffected.

BackerKit's Pre-Order Store Closing Soon

Hello all,
Just wanted to let you guys know that we'll be closing our BackerKit Pre-Order store for Empires of the Silk Road campaign, and we will migrate the pre-orders to our website at February 1st.
This means that all the add-ons, except the hardcover books, bundles and collector's boxes will be out, forever! Also, you won't be able to grab all these at Kickstarter discount - though they will still be available at somediscount to their retail prices until the pre-order period is over.
This does not affect your surveys, or your address changes. We will keep all of those open until we are ready to ship out.
